Oregon Hiking

We took a roadtrip across Oregon this past week. No real plan or itinerary. Riley drove and I navigated. Lots of detours and new discoveries.

We smiled into the mist of surrounding waterfalls and followed the trials up and down the forest. I have both a childlike curiosity and spiritual reverence for the outdoors. I love the tall trees, green moss, and the crisp air; the messiness of unplanned wilderness. It's both a playground and a chapel.  There is something about being outdoors that makes you a better person. A realization that you are small, an acknowledgment of a world larger than yourself.
