Baby Shower!

Today was my baby shower! We celebrated by stuffing our faces with homemade cinnamon rolls and muffins. Then we awed at all the cute-tiniest baby clothes and the nicest quilt ever stitched. Following we sat and shared and I listened to inspired parenting advice and life lessons of motherhood.

I am feeling so grateful for my friends and ward family here in Japan. I sure got so spoiled today. One month until I'm a mom!!

Out of Hibernation

Its been a combination of being pregnant and winter that has made getting out and taking pictures and blogging one of my last priories. These last six months living in Japan has been a mix of good days and bad days. It has been a steep learning curve for me living in a foreign country. I often find myself counting down the hours until Riley is home from work. Counting down the months until warmer weather, and counting down the days until our baby boy comes into the world (just over a month left people!).

I recently came across a quote though that hit home and left me feeling guilty. It said:
"Don't count the days, make the days count."
I've spent far too many of these days counting down and on Netflix and just being highly unproductive. I don't have a child yet, or a real job and still can't manage to keep up with our dishes? I know right. I need to start making days count.
