Hot Springs Day

Nov. 5th, 2020: My dad was interested in this property over in cascade area and wanted to check it out and we made it a family day! The property was a hotsprings resort, just under two hours from Boise. We packed up the kids, and a lunch picnic and swimsuits and enjoyed the warm water and hot springs pool on a sunny November day.

Chronicles of Clay- 9 Months

9 months old! I always love this milestone-- 9 months inside my belly and now 9 months out! Always so neat to reflect back and see how both our bodies have changed during these months in and out. You spent this entire month in Idaho and on the road! You went to church in person for the first time ever this month. You did awesome hiking miles on miles in the carrier with us this month and such a happy guy. You are eating more solids, but so adamant that you feed yourself. Luke is your favorite, closely followed by dad and Papa and me :)

New Plymouth

November 7th 2020:  We met up with Nicole and Natalie’s family for a day in New Plymouth with Grandpa and Grandma Garner and had a blast. It was so fun being with everyone, seeing Luke and Olivia play together and as always eat amazing food from their garden lunch and dinner. Will definitely cherish these family memories on the farm.

Painted Hills- Oregon

November 4, 2020: On our way back to Idaho from Oregon we made a little detour at the Painted Hills! We learned that it is one of the "7 wonders of Oregon" and wasn't too out of the way on the way. It reminded us of a different planet and was a great pit stop to stretch the legs.

Green Lakes Hiking- Oregon

Nov 2. 2020: We hiked to Green Lakes around Sisters, near Bend, Oregon! We did 11 miles and covered a lot of pretty landscape. Looking back at this hike I remember racing Luke down the mountain 'being cars' for over a mile. We are realizing soon he will no longer be in the hiking bag and much enjoys walking for himself (which is unfortunately much slower). We want to root a deep love for nature and love for outdoors in our kids,  I think to do this we will have to change a bit and go shorter distances and let them explore on own. It will be interesting to see how our outings change in the years to come as the boys grow.

We also came across a black fox, which we thought 100% thought was a bear cub for a little in the distance which was funny to see our different reactions in the bear spotting... lets just say I would be the one attacked and Riley would live to tell our story ;)

Lots of photos, just following these two for hours.
