Lucerne Goodbyes- Last day!

August 27, 2023: These pictures we took on the beach right before heading to the train and saying goodbye. I think these pictures will always bring a smile to my face. I just love my parents and added so much to the trip! We had an hour to spare before we needed to split and say goodbye to my parents. Riley navigated us to this little scenic beach spot and we laughed and reminisced about the past week and got a few pictures. I feel like I don't have very many pictures of me and my parents so just love these.

Also, wanted to share a sweet memory. We had just finished church and Luke was having a hard time and was having a meltdown leaving church and was throwing a massive fit. It was bad. This sweet old lady that was headed home from church, she was in her 90s and witnessed the scene and went up to her apartment and yelled down at us if we wanted some icecream bars and threw down ice cream bars for everyone, adults included. It was just so sweet and thoughtful and brought a smile to everyones face including Lukes :)

Lucerne

August 26, 2023: After a glorious week in the mountains we trained to Lucerne together and finished our Switzerland trip in this charming city for the day. It was a cute and lively and was fun to see, but I think everyone was missing our mountain home. The weather was rainy but we enjoyed the views and blue water and walking the town. My favorite part was in the evening, Riley stayed with the boys and me and my mom walked and talked and got out together. It was so fun just chatting with her and we walked from one side of the town to the other getting good views from the hills and by castle walls of the city lights. It was really fun spending that time with my mom and just love her.

Switzerland- Paragliding

Aug 24 & 25, 2023: WE WENT PARAGLIDING!! Yes, all caps needed! It was such a neat experience and worth every penny. I really wanted to do it, but decided it would be too inconvenient for our group and the dynamics but then when my mom said she wanted to go we decided to do it together and made it happen.  It was soo beautiful and fun and just really epic. . . we loved it so much that we made the husbands go the next day. It was fun because we each had a different experience and ride, Riley got to drive and did lots of flips and turns and we went super high and just had a more peaceful ride.  Luke even wanted to go, and can't wait to take him one day. The boys still pretend and paraglide off the couch months later.
