I started journaling this past week a bit and made a list of all the things I love lately and wanted to share here too! They aren't in any particular order just all the things that are bring sunshine to my life:
- I LOVED this BYU devotional speech by Shayla Bott. The idea of "slowing" and being artful in our living and making our time special. I needed this message so much and loved it. One of my favorite talks of late. She also shared this artwork by Norman Rockwell, called lift up thine eyes that is lovely and seemed applicable today minus everyone would have phones in hands.
- Breakfast always makes me so happy, we've been loving the fried egg, grapefruit & cottage cheese combo. It’s on repeat for me.
These bars, perfection: Millionaires PB Shortbread Bars
I think my first love was peanut butter, me and my high school friend kept a jar in our shared locker and would take a spoonful when we needed a boost. These bars are my favorite dessert, maybe ever? I've been making them weekly and experimenting but just need to stick to the recipe because it's perfection.
Lagree
I started doing largee again, going most days with my bestie Kacy Steiner before she moves away. It's truly been a saving grace being able to leave then house and do something for myself and see my friend. She moves so soon and way bummed about that, but glad I still have largee at least to help cope.
Genuine questions
One skill I don't have but would love is asking good questions, there is just something so connecting or thought provoking from good questions and want that skill. During a ministering 5th Sunday lesson, our bishop shared this slide and loved the connecting questions and has been something I have been trying a bit in my little interactions.
Craft
I also made up these cards and painted a little box for Kacy, it brought me a lot of sunshine pulling out the paint and creating again. I thought they turned out so fun and want a deck myself, eventually. . .
