October 3rd, 2024- This hike had been on the bucket list for quite some time, so it was the first stop we made in the Dolomites. It did not disappoint. The weather was really funky. Hiking in, it was fogged in and the visibility so bad that we debated for a sec turning out around (if we were hiking with kids there's a good chance we probably would have- thanks Grandparents + Cobb for watching them :) we kept going and just as we got the to the lake it cleared for about 10 minutes for us to take it all in. And then we slowly saw the cloudy fog slowly roll in again and then out again. Such a sweet hike with both the journey to the destination and the destination itself being equally worth it and pretty.
Frigid ice bath for the toesies.
Hoping this one ends up framed in our house one day or in a magazine :)
