April 8th: We took a ferry and went to Taketomi Island. It is a quick ferry to this small beautiful island. We rented bikes to get around and had a great time exploring and at the beach with the Andrus family.

Okonomiyaki at Kabira bay
April 7th- We ended our fun day with an Okonomiyaki pinic at the beach. It was golden hour and got some great pics of the kids and thought it deserved it's own post. Magical evening, it was unreal how empty this place was. This is the most famous beaches in Ishigaki and we had all to ourselves.

Ishigaki Yaima village- monkeys!
August 7th- After our hike, we spend a couple hours watching the Andrus kids (we switched off to have some date time). We had lunch and went to the beach together. Then when Nichole and Parker returned we fueled up on fresh juice smoothies and went to Ishigaki Yaima village. Luke wasn't the biggest fan on this place, but was fun to be around some friendly monkeys and hold them!
Hiking Ishigaki- Maetake
August 7th-- this hike was really memorable. Looking back now over month later, this is the place Luke request to go back. I think it really stands out because we had to get him out of bag and we all had to go through these tall bamboo plants over our heads and at the top it cleared just a little on the mountain edge and overlooked ishigaki with an amazing view.
