September 20-21st, 2023:
Caden and his family came to visit us! And they brought Nelson with too! I don't think I have ever been that giddy in awhile, it was like anticipating Christmas as a kid when I heard Caden bought tickets and pestered him all through his pilot training to plan this trip planned and include me in it. It really was just the best to see them and meet Nelson for the first time and them to meet Lucy! We decided we really haven't hung out like that since I left home for college. It was a REALLY great time. We only a couple days in Amsterdam but spent them well, getting all the things in: stroop waffles, city views, dutch pancakes, parks, biking the city, and even made a trip out to volendam to see some windmills and countryside.
Raining Amsterdam didn't stop these party animals
jet lag at its finest. We played all day and as soon as he sat on the couch he was out.
