Okinawa Trip: Day 3

Day 3: Monday!
Our last full day of the trip! We started the day early hiking to Ta Taki Falls located in Yanbaru National Park and is one of the most popular falls on the Island. Despite it's popularity, we were the first one at the trail in the early morning and had the falls to ourself the whole time. This hike was one of my favorites I have ever done. You literally trekked through the rain forrest upstream the Henan River and was so, so pretty. We both took turns jumping in and swimming under the falls.

After the hike, we drove across a giant bridge to Korii Island and admired the blue water. We played at the beach and ate hamburgers and explored the little island. Then we took off for another waterfall and climbed the millions stairs to Hiji Falls. This waterfall is the biggest on the main island and the trail was well maintained with a couple different routes. We ended the day with Okinawa's famous "Blue Seal" Icecream and another great sunset on the beach together.

I tried to capture how clear the water on the river was, but just looks like a picture of Riley's foot.... but he is ankle deep.

The long bridge connecting the two islands, the water was so blue.
Hamburgers and Mango Juice

Beach finds :)

 I spy Riley and Luke. . .

Luke was so excited for his very own icecream, he picked out rainbow flavor.
I obviously ate most of mine and then thought about a picture :)
